My favorite genre of music is rap. I have never actually listened to music since I was young. However, in my 7th-grade year, my friend suggested I listen to a song. It was a Korean rap song, and after listening to it, I started to only listen to it. Yesterday I went to a Korean rap concert with 3 of my friends. It was supposed to be 4, but one friend had to leave early. The show started at 1 pm, but my friends and I met at 10 and started waiting at 11. It was a stormy day, so we wore raincoats while waiting. Most of the rappers are Korean, but there was 1 non-Korean rapper, Amine. However he was the last performer, but I had to come home because it was too late.
The first rapper was D.ark.
His first songs started at 1 but because of the long line, I missed about 5 minutes of the performance. However, I knew the last few songs so it was still fun.
The second rappers came in as a group. There were 4 rappers, Billstax, Lobonabeat!, Furyfromguxxi, and BoyWonder. I knew their songs but didn't actually know them that well. However thanks to the concert I am starting to listen to their songs again.
The 3rd and 4th rappers were Homies, Superbee, and Uneducated Kid. They all work on the same label and they all came in as a group. I knew all of the songs they performed and it was such a new experience listening to songs I knew in a live performance.
The 5th rapper was B.I. He is a Korean rapper and was the leader of an idol group called Ikon. I did not know any of his songs and I didn't like them that much either.
The 6th and 7th rappers were Leelamarz and Ash Island. I also knew most of their songs and it was one of the best. They both had a good balance of actually rap and calm songs so I think it was much more relaxing than the other performaces.
The 8th was Audry Nuna. I had no idea who she was so me and my friends went to eat food.
The 9th was Justhis and Kidmilli. One reason I wanted to go to the concert was too see these two. I both knew every song they sang and it was so cool listen to it live.
Finally was Loco and Simon Dominic. They are in the same label and both rapped for a long time. It was kinda late but to see these two I stayed a little more than I had to. They both had a lot of stage experience and they both had amazing peformances.
This is my first time going to any concert in my life. I thought it would be a great experience and it was. I ended up staying at the concert place for 12 hours and standed for so long even walking hurt so much. Thanks to this amazing performance I had such a good time during my last few days before going back to school.
